Paramount has officially released the first teaser trailer of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part 1, directed by Christopher McQuarrie. The trailer actually leaked yesterday to social media before it was taken down from online. A lot of twitter accounts sharing the links of the leaked trailer were hit with copyright infringement, which you can read about in our previous article. However, Paramount has officially released the trailer today just an hour ago. You can check out the teaser trailer below here.
It seems like Dead Reckoning part 1 is going to have lot of callbacks to the spy franchise’s previous installments. The train sequence from the trailer looks like a tribute to the first film and the desert sequence has vibes of Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. The trailer also promises first ever horse chase action scenes for the franchise and more motorcycle action. The final shot of Cruise cliff jumping in Norway is really spine-chilling. Along with Cruise, the film also stars the series regulars Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames, and new additions like Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Indira Varma. This is the third Mission Impossible film in the franchise to be directed by McQuarrie after Rogue Nation and Fallout.
Mission Impossible 7: Dead Reckoning Part 1 Release Date
Dead Reckoning part 1 is currently scheduled to release on July 14, 2023 while Dead Reckoning part 2 is scheduled to be released on June 28, 2024. Paramount initially planned to shoot both Dead Reckoning Part 1 & 2 back-to-back, before scrapping that plan due to the COVID pandemic.
