Pet Sematary: Bloodlines was one of the few horror films planned for the Halloween of 2023. It really has been a dull year for horror films. There have been some sparks here and there but nothing concrete. Last year in comparison was an amazing year for the horror genre. The film is inspired by Stephen King’s 1983 novel Pet Sematary. The novel was nominated for a World Fantasy Award for Best Novel in 1984, and adapted into two films: one in 1989 and another in 2019. Bloodlines acts as a prequel to the 2019 adaptation, however, it is an original story about young Jud Crandall as he discovers the dark family history that will forever tie him to his hometown of Ludlow, Maine. After being critically panned, the film is regarded as one of the worst releases of 2023 and yet it has gotten a home video release date.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines Comes To Home Video!
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines had opened up to poor reviews but still belongs to a huge IP since it is a Stephen King adaptation. If you want to own a physical copy of the film then you’re in luck as Paramount just revealed its home video release date. The Lindsey Beer directorial will be landing on Digital HD on December 5th and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on December 19th.
The movie in the home video package is described, “In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”
Special features on the home video release are as follows:

- War Comes Home – Enter the chilling realm of Pet Sematary as filmmakers and cast dissect the final scene, revealing the innovative technology behind its terrifying realization.
The movie will also be available in a double-feature set that includes the 2019 Pet Sematary. The film stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Henry Thomas, Natalie Alyn Lind, and Isabella Star LaBlanc, David Duchovny and Pam Grier.
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is available to stream on Paramount Plus.
