The second official trailer of The Exorcist: Believer is out. This second trailer offers more horror to the audience. The film is certainly going to be the most frightening cinematic event of the Halloween season. Director David Gordon Green confirmed to IGN, “We use a new demon, no Pazuzu.” He also said, “We’re not dismissing the other sequels, there’s just not a real relationship.” The film has secured an R rating due to “some violent content, disturbing images, language, and sexual references.” You can imagine the horror of this direct sequel. The Exorcist: Believer will be out in theatres on October 6th. Check out the second official trailer below.

The Exorcist: Believer is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Peter Sattler and Green, and a story by Scott Teems, Danny McBride, and Green. It is based on the characters created by William Peter Blatty. The film stars Oscar Winner Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil. It also stars Emmy winner Ann Dowd in the role of Victor. Grammy winner Jennifer Nettles and Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz play the role of Katherine’s parents.

After the death of his pregnant wife, Victor Fielding raised their daughter Angela on his own. His wife died 12 years ago in a Haitian earthquake. When Angela and her friend Katherine disappear in the woods only to return after three days with no recollection of what happened to them. The whole thing opens a door to a chain of events that will compel Victor to confront the nadir of evil. In desperation and helplessness, he will seek out Chris MacNeil, the only person alive who has witnessed similar events before.
