It was expected that when the franchise returns with Top Gun: Maverick nearly 36 years later, it would be an instant blockbuster. And oh my god, what a incredible experience it was! Top Gun 2 is one of the best films I’ve seen so far in theatres. Anyways, now that it is here, fans are rushing to experience it on theatres and want to get their hands on a copy of this iconic film as soon as possible. Some other fans who cannot go to theatres due to some reason or the other are waiting for its streaming or disc release. Well, here’s all we know about it.
Top Gun Maverick Watch Online Streaming Release
Since, the film has just released worldwide, and in other places it is yet to release, it will not arrive on streaming anytime soon. Also, given the tremendous box office and critical success of Top Gun 2, it is going to stay in theatres till at least July end or even beyond. So, we expect it to release on streaming sometime towards the end of July at the earliest.
Top Gun: Maverick will be available to stream on Paramount Plus, that’s for sure. Paramount Plus usually debuts Paramount films somewhere between 45-60 day window after its release. But considering the monumental success of the film, that might be pushed ahead. If by any chance Paramount follows this pattern then we can see Top Gun: Maverick streaming as early as 27th July, 2022. But since, that doesn’t look to be the case, we believe it would arrive sometime towards the beginning of August. However, it may be available on demand before that.
Top Gun 2 Blu-ray Release
As for Top Gun: Maverick Blu-Ray and DVD release, it will take place much later and we predict a 3rd week September 2022 release. Since, discs feature extra content including bloopers, in depth discussions by cast, extra footage, deleted scenes, and all, they are usually released 3 to 4 months after the theatrical release of the film. But the good news is that it is available for pre-order already at various seller websites including Amazon and Best Buy. The film’s Blu-Ray is available in 4 different editions which include:

- Top Gun / Top Gun: Maverick 4K Blu-ray (2 Movie Collection) – $39.99
- Top Gun: Maverick 4K Blu-ray – $29.99
- Top Gun: Maverick Blu-ray – $24.99
