Ahsoka-Anakin-Rosario-Dawson-Hayden-Christensen

The new teaser of the Disney+ TV series Star Wars: Ahsoka created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni hints at the comeback of Hayden Christensen as Anakin. Hayden Christensen appeared earlier in the role of Anakin in the Obi-Wan series. He is back again to duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi in a flashback. Despite the reports of Christensen reprising his role, Rosario Dawson remained reserved. In an interview with Total Film, she said,” It’s definitely one of those things that would be super cool if he was [in Ahsoka], but I’m just really grateful that we’re in the same universe.”

Ahsoka and Anakin in the New Teaser of Star Wars: Ahsoka

In a new teaser of Star Wars: Ahsoka on Disney+, Ahsoka Tano remembers the lesson of Anakin Skywalker, her Jedi teacher. Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) is squaring off against former Jedi Baylan Skoll (late Ray Stevenson) Baylan informs Ahsoka how people of the Jedi Order knew about Anakin as a Jedi Knight, but very few lived to see his outcome. This dialogue plays over shots of Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and his awakening as Darth Vader after his duel on Mustafar with Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). In a seemingly separate scene, Ahsoka muses about her leaving the Jedi Order and Anakin by the conclusion of the Clone Wars.

In an episode of the animated series Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka witnesses what Anakin became dueling with Darth Vader. Yet, Anakin’s voice is heard sharing words of wisdom with his Jedi Padawan. He says, “In this war, you face more than just droids. As your Master, it’s my responsibility to prepare you. I won’t always be there to look out for you. Don’t be afraid. Trust your instincts. I know you can do this, Ahsoka. The lines heard in the teaser appear to be new, presumably recorded by Christensen for the series. The voice is likely to come from a flashback during the Clone Wars when Ahsoka and Anakin were fighting.

The season will consist of eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere on August 23, 2023.
