Alan Wake 2 is a sequel to the very successful game Alan Wake which released many years ago. The game was developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It is supposed to be an action adventure with the premise – “Novelist Alan Wake tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife’s disappearance during a vacation in the small fictional town of Bright Falls, Washington, all while experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel, which he cannot remember writing, coming to life.” 13 years after the release of the original game, this sequel by Sony will take us back to the nightmares. Alan Wake 2 released on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on October 27, 2023. Now this article is not for people who haven’t played the game yet, so read at your own risk!
Alan Wake 2 NG+ and DLC Leaks and Spoilers
Alan Wake 2 has arrived and the reviews for the game are nothing short of glorious. Not just the critics, but fans are absolutely loving the game as well calling it one of the best games of 2023. This has put Alan Wake 2 among the frontrunners for The Game of the Year Award 2023 and it is quite possible it wins a few Game Awards especially for Best Narrative. Today, we have received some more incredible news about the future of the game including New Game + mode and DLC. So, from this point on, some minor spoilers follow below.
Apparently, a user on /v/ confirmed to have datamined videos related to New Game+ and both DLCs featuring heavy story spoilers and just about confirming the return of a character from Control as well as confirming the ambigous game ending cutscene of Saga calling her daughter by extending it. The user also shared some links to videos as proof.
Let us start with New Game + Alternate Ending Cutscene. In this alternate scene, Saga’s phone call is answered, Alan wakes up from his gunshot wound from the original ending and sees a vision from Alice, finding out she’s alive. There’s also a video of New Game+ Cutscene with returning character where Dr. Darling from Control featured more prominently in similar style instructional videos like in Control. Another NG + Cutscene spoiler includes Dr. Darling thirst trap featuring Thomas Zane interacting with Dr Darling.
Moving on, this is the part where things get exciting. Apparently, the user confirmed confirmed Lake House DLC and went on to post a link to the video of a cutscene where Dr. Darling was seen doing Dr Darling things. You can check out this video here.
