Greta Gerwig’s Barbie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Reynolds is all set for a worldwide release in theaters on July 21st, 2023. Aside from the, first teaser trailer which was surely quite interesting, we have received numerous Behind the Scenes images, first looks, and short videos of the film’s characters which you can check out in the links provided below. Ryan Gosling First Look as Ken is Better Than We Imagined

Talking about the first look, Ryan is seen in bleachy blonde hair with cutoff jean jacket that highlights his incredible physique. Fans love the Ken labelled underwear and the all jean-apparel, its nice inclusion with the rest of the outfit. That being said, fans really dig the overall pink background of the setting, something similar to what we saw in Margot’s first look as Barbie. It’s trippy and distinct at the same time.

The photos reveal Margot in a pink Bell-Bottom as she is walking out of her trailer. As she is not performing or on set in the snap it is really difficult to predict what scene is this in. The pink outfit goes hand in hand with the pink backgrounds we saw in Robbie’s and Gosling’s first looks. See the set images yourself and tell me whether you see any details.

Barbie and Ryan Gosling’s Ken Together
Say what you will but pink appears to be significant in the story. But now thanks to some more intrusive people in Leavesden, London; we’ve gotten both Barbie and Ken in one frame. I mean it was inevitable.
All the above shots does give us an idea of the sizzling chemistry that will be shared on screen between Margot and Ryan. The shots taken suggest that they’re indeed performing a scene but it is hard to point out what exactly might be going on here. Although, Margot has the same attire she’d when her set images went viral, in those images she is walking out from her trailer.

Off the bat, I’d like to say she sounds amazing and somewhat like “life in the dreamhouse Barbie” which is a show we highly recommend you to watch in prep for the movie. The budget of the film appears to be a bit less because they’re seen taking all these shots among actual the public. Fans reacted very positively to her voice saying, “HER BARBIE VOICE IS SO PERFECT“, “SHE’S DOING THE BARBIE VOICE SO SPOT ON“, “OH MY GOD THE BARBIE VOICE“, and “Margot’s Barbie voice I LOVE HER SO MUCH. that’s it, i’m stanning.“

Even though the film is still in production it has managed to create quite a buzz around it with the sizzling first looks and these set images. While the first looks gave us the vibe of 60’s American beach girl, the new images are quite different from it and they carry a 70’s rodeo superstar vibe.

The teaser doesn’t show us much from the film, just a few glimpses that give us just enough to understand the treatment and genre of the film. Much of the trailer is telling the audience of why the Barbie figure is so important. Before the Barbie doll, little girls used to play with dolls like babies, they used to change them, take care of it etc. which was basically society preparing them for motherhood that will eventually come in her. However, after the Barbie doll came into the picture, it prepared and taught girls how form romantic relationships with boys, it taught them how to be consumers and all. The fresh thing about this trailer was that Shang Chi star Simu Liu completely surprised us by making a split second appearance.
