Criminal Minds is one such show which has enjoyed a very long run on TV. Lasting for 15 seasons and 15 long years, it ended in 2020 which what was said to be its final season. Well, it seems like that’s not the case anymore. Not only is Criminal Minds returning, but so are many of its original cast members. The return of the series is probably going to be in the form of a reboot and here’s what we know about it.

Deadline recently reported that the series reboot is in works and might be ready for filming soon. Not only that, but 6 of the cast members are all set to return for the reboot. They are:
- Joe Mantegna – David Rossi
- Kirsten Vangsness – Penelope Garcia
- Adam Rodriguez – Luke Alvez
- A.J. Cook – Jennifer JJ Jareau
- Aisha Tyler – Dr, Tara Lewis
- Paget Brewster – Emily Prentiss
Matthew Gray Gubler had previously stated that he was ready to move on after playing Spencer Reid for 15 years, so he won’t be returning. Also, there is no word from Daniel Henney, who is currently starring in The Wheel Of Time. The actors who are returning are said to be signed for 10 new seasons, though this needs to be validated.
“We are still very much in development on Criminal Minds. We’ll have more to share on that soon but it is alive and well,” Nicole Clemens, President, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series said. With that in mind the series might return sometime towards the end of 2022 or early 2023 on Paramount+.
