Indiana Jones 5 Plot Leaks and Spoilers Might Be True After All

Fans are extremely hyped as the classic adventure franchise of the 80’s is back once again with Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones! The fifth installment in the franchise is being helmed by James Mangold of Logan (2017) fame. The film is currently scheduled to release on June 30, 2023 and the filming concluded earlier this year in February, 2022. Ford’s character of Indiana Jones will pass the torch to some younger protagonist to continue the spirit of adventure and lead further movies in the franchise. As for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, we delivered some bad news a few months ago surrounding the leaks as they suggested a really bad film. Well, after the trailers and promos, it seems like they are going to be true after all!

Indiana Jones 5 – Leaked Plot Details Might Be True!

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has had its first set of test screenings back in December 2022 and some of the viewers who attended them shared their thoughts on the film. From what it sounded like the film isn’t going to a good one and the reason they gave was that basically everyone at their showing disliked it. So, what were these plot leaks and how true might they turn out to be? Read on to find out but remember that MASSIVE POTENTIAL SPOILERS, courtesy of r/LeaksandRumors follow below.

So, here’s how the film will turn out to be according to spoilers. Marion appears toward the beginning of the movie and encourages Indy to come out of retirement for one last adventure. Phoebe Waller Bridge is playing “Helena Brody”, the granddaughter of Marcus Brody, and was dubbed as one of the most annoying characters put to screen by the leakers. The leakers went on to say that they wouldn’t be surprised if she wrote her own lines and that she constantly lectures Indy about his “privilege”. Anyways, Antonio Banderas was called the best part of this movie as he apparently sacrifices himself to save Indy and Helena right before they get sent back in time.

Talking about the plot, the main McGuffin is a golden clock that’s the key to an ancient time portal. A group of neo-Nazis is trying to track it down before Indy can. First they go to ancient Rome for a bit but they go back through and end up in 1933. A significant chunk of the movie is set in 1933 and the main “trio” is old Indy, Helena, and younger Indy. Get ready for the worst part, as apparently the movie ends with young Indy sacrificing himself to save Helena, causing old Indy to fade away like Marty does in Back to the Future. Helena picks up his hat and the movie ends with a montage of her in iconic Indiana Jones scenes set to the John Williams score.

The movie’s credits end with “Helena will return” kind of thing just like what Marvel movies do. Well, after the trailer and promo releases, fans have gotten highly skeptical as it seems like these plot leaks might turn out to be true after all with a few minor changes here and there. Honestly, the chances of Indiana Jones 5 being good, have been thin since the project was announced, but hey, as fans all we can do is hope. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is all set to release in theatres on June 30, 2023.
