Amidst the hype of Barbie and Oppenheimer, the entire summer was lost. The milestones crossed and created by both the films were so overwhelming. Any other film seemed pale in comparison to them. Even big films like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One and The Flash choked at the box office this summer. The only film that performed well was Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and surprisingly Meg 2: The Trench is also doing well despite horrible reviews. However, while all of this was going on there was one film that didn’t have much hype but emerged as a sleeper hit despite the massive competition of Barbenheimer. Which one? Sound of Freedom. Don’t worry if you missed it in theatres, it’s digital release date has just been announced!
Sound of Freedom Is Coming On Digital Very Soon!
WhenToStream has just announced that Sound of Freedom will be available to purchase on digital platforms on September 15th. The film is one of 2023’s biggest summer hits, grossing $178 million in North America over a budget of only $14.5 million. Angel Studios, the studio behind the film announced that Sound of Freedom has sold over 15 million tickets, achieving 770% of its $2 million original goal. If you’re wondering when will the film start streaming then we don’t have that information as of yet but generally films start to stream on a platform one month after their digital release. Which means Sound of Freedom should start streaming from October 15th.
A recent report also suggested that Sound of Freedom is currently fielding offers from major streaming services for the Pay-One rights. A Pay-One period is the time soon after playing in theaters when a film exclusively streams on a service. Even if this is the case the film will start streaming sometime in mid-October only.
Sound of Freedom is available in theatres near you (US).
