Spider Man: Lotus

Spider-Man: Lotus, I understand if you’ve never heard of this film. Even if the title says Spider Man, the film doesn’t belong or has no connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in which Tom Holland plays Spider-Man. It also doesn’t belong to Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire’s standalone movies. Not even part of Sony’s Spiderverse or Venomverse. It is a fan made film and the director of the same is Gavin J. Konop. He says he is working on the project out of passion and no one is expected to gain a profit from this film.

The film’s story is supposed to be after the death of Peter Parker’s girlfriend and will focus on his dilemma whether to be Spider-Man or not. While all this sounds great, the film did hit a road block after Warden Wayne, the one who plays Spider-Man in the film was accused of racist comments.

What did the actor do? Well, it was a combination of things. He used the N-word with his friends and co-workers. He out of spite criticized whatever Black people did and used racial slurs all the time. Warden was homeschooled in Arkansas and he knew knew acting from a very young age. He is young and his past actions have come back to haunt him and will most likely swallow his recent movie as well.

The above mentioned actions are the reasons why fans are upset with the Actor and they’re expressing their feelings via Twitter.

While all this is going on the actor did come forward addressed the matter, he issued an apology on Twitter and accepted his wrongdoings in the past. He pointed out he was homeschooled in Arkansas and his thoughts on race and religion were a result of the education he’d gotten. The following is his apology:
