Stargirl is a CW show adapted from the DC character of the same name. The show was created by Geoff Johns. The show stars Brec Bassinger in the lead role along with Courtney Whitmore, Yvette Monreal, Anjelika Washington, Cameron Gellman, Trae Romano, Jake Austin Walker, Hunter Sansone, Meg DeLacy, Neil Jackson, Christopher James Barker, Amy Smart, Luke Wilson, Nick Tarabay, Neil Hopkins, Joy Osmanski and Joel McHale. The show debuted in 2020 on DC Universe but then later was picked up CW and currently has 2 seasons. The show was renewed for another season that will come out this year on CW. While CW’s rest of programming is set to begin in October. The show will roughly return a month before CW’s other programs.
Stargirl Season 3 to be a Murder Mystery?
Stargirl Season 3 as evident from Season 2’s end was subtitled Frenemies. Becca Bassinger recently teased that season 3 will feature a murder mystery theme where the hero and villain will co-exist and try to figure the murderer. Bassinger said, “You know what, I’m just gonna say it,” Bassinger said. “Murder mystery! So season 1, our tone was coming of age, Back to the Future, Karate Kid … Season 2 was horror … Season 3, murder mystery, and how evil and good are going to live in a town together and figure out who the murderer is.”
CW recently released a teaser for Stargirl Season 3 and despite being only 30 seconds long it was enough to make us excited for the season. The video begins where Sylvester welcoming the Whitemore-Dugan family home, donning an apron with the words “kiss the cook” on it. And Courtney later reveals to a stranger person that everyone assumed to be Sylvester was gone. But as the fans are aware, he returned in the season 2 finale and assured to tutor Courtney more about the Cosmic Staff.
Stargirl Season 3 will premiere on CW on Wednesday, 31st August 2022 at 8 pm ET.
