Netflix has just announced that The Lincoln Lawyer, a popular drama series, has been renewed for season 2. “LA’s finest lawyer is back,” Netflix tweeted, along with a video starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, who leads the show as Mickey Haller, a hot-shot lawyer. Considering the popularity and success of the first season, the news of its renewal came as no surprise.
The Lincoln Lawyer premiered on Netflix on May 13, 2022, and has remained in the top ten of the Netflix Global Top 10 charts ever since. The crime drama has been streamed for over 260 million hours globally and has made it to the top ten in 90 countries. Following the announcement that a second season of The Lincoln Lawyer is in the making, here’s what we know so far.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2: Release Date, Cast, and Trailer
While a release date for the second season has yet to be determined, we do know that season 1 of the show was picked up by Netflix 18 months before it was made available on the streaming service. If the first season is any indication, viewers can expect season 2 to arrive in 2023. Season 2 does not yet have an official trailer, but the Netflix Twitter account gave fans a sneak peek for season 2, in which Mickey Haller, the lead, can be seen in his famous Lincoln car.
We also know that season 2 will feature ten episodes, echoing the first season’s episode arc. Viewers can expect lengthy episodes of up to an hour if the first season is any indication. It is also confirmed that Season 2 will be based on The Fifth Witness, the fourth book in Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer series. Manuel Garcia-Rulfo will reprise his role as the popular heartthrob lawyer, along with some other known faces. Actors returning for season 2 include Neve Campbell playing Maggie, Becki Newton as Lorna, Angus Sampson playing Cisco, and Jazz Raycole as Izzy.
