Loki Season 2: Official Release Date Announced

There are many insiders who have been whispering that Loki Season 2 won’t be releasing on the nebulous summer release date that Marvel had previously reserved for the show. In fact the sequel season would be returning much later in the summer of 2023. Bespin Bulletin was the first one to report this that Loki Season 2 will release in late summer, which means that the debut date of the show would be sometime between August and September. This update was of course not confirmed by Disney+ or Marvel Studios. The same outlet had also revealed the new Star Wars show Ahsoka will release after Loki Season 2 and Secret Invasion. However, this report has been rendered false after Marvel themselves have come out and told us the release date of the show.

Loki Season Two Will Release Much Later Than Expected!

In Disney’s 2023 Upfront event, the studio revealed that the upcoming Loki Season Two will start streaming on Disney+ from 6th October 2023. This announcement defies all previous reports which stated that the sequel season will release in mid-2023. We don’t know what is the reason behind this delay. 6th October is also a Friday which which marks a change from the traditional Marvel Studios Wednesday release strategy seen as of late on the platform. This is certainly interesting.

Currently, delays to 2024 are looking likely for Ironheart and Agatha: Coven of Chaos. However, one of Marvel’s Disney+ series is still reportedly set for a release this year: X-Men ’97. However, no update has been offered for X-Men ’97 and it would most likely be delayed just like the other shows.

Loki Season 2 will start streaming on Disney+ from 6th October 2023.  Season 1 is available for streaming on the same.
