If you have seen The Marvels, no matter if you hated it or liked it, there is certainly one aspect that might have got you hyped. At the end of the film, when the Captain Marvel family successfully stop the Incursion, Monica gets stuck in another universe and she ends up in the X2 universe! Here she meets with Kelsey Grammer’s Beast and new Maria Rambeau variant. You may remember Kelsey Grammer played the role of Beast in Fox Studios’ X-Men: The Last Stand. This scene basically officially opened MCU’s door to X-Men universe after teasing us multiple times in WandaVision, Doctor Strange 2, and Kamala Khan’s mutant reveal. As it happens, it seems like Kelsey Grammer as Beast was not a one time affair!

The Marvels’ mid credits scene has reportedly been changed at the very last minute in the test screenings, fans were shown a different scene. In the movie version, Monica ends up in the X-Men Universe and is greeted by her Mom (who never had Children in this universe) so she freaks out. Maria doesn’t understand why she calls her mom. Kelsey Grammer beast is there with the lab coat and quickly explains that Monica’s from another universe but it’s in theory Impossible, and that he’s gonna talk to Xavier about it. Maria had a red/white suit (probably Binary).
Considering that Prof X and Maria are still alive and Maria’s suit is totally different from Multiverse of Madness, so it possibly takes place in a different X-Men Universe than 838. The scene ends with Maria asking Monica who she was, clearly showing the Maria of this universe never had a daughter. Anyways, fans were really hyped to see Kelsey Grammer as Beast since this means X-Men will now officially start popping up in MCU starting now. Good thing is that unlike previous X-Men cameos like Evans Peter as Quicksilver in WandaVision and Sir Patrick as Prof X, this one actually means something for the future of MCU. This has also been confirmed by Kelsey Grammer as he is pretty sure he’ll return to MCU!
While talking to TheWrap, he said “It is my hope that you will [see him again]. I can say with a certain amount of confidence that you will. I would love to. I’ve always wanted to play him again. I see him as an extraordinary character, a real character of gravitas and importance in our culture.” Grammer added, “I’m delighted Beast is back and hope he’s back in a real way.” He expressed his relief at the positive reaction by the fans for his role and said many people contacted him later.
It seems like this time Marvel ain’t messing around and from this point all, every cameo must be taken seriously as they’ll all have a role to play in the Secret Wars saga. So, maybe its time to get back on the Marvel hype train now. Or is it? Let us know your thoughts below!
