Thor: Love and Thunder

With Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor’s story after Endgame continues. Thor becomes the first superhero in the MCU to get a 4th solo outing. The film marks the return of regular players in a Thor film and some new entries- Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe, Taika Waititi, , Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Vin Diesel and Christian Bale. The film is directed by Thor: Ragnarok fame Taika Waititi. He also co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. The film focuses on Thor’s journey after the events of Endgame. We seemingly weren’t sure where Thor’s story would go next but this film gives us a good idea of it. We’re introduced to Gorr the God Butcher in this film. The film is just above 2 hours and to wrap it up quickly it is mixed bag of emotions and dry humor.

With conflicting tones and misplaced humor the movie was a good but mediocre affair. However, if you want to check out our full review you can click here. The film had gotten mixed reviews since its premiere. However, the majority was heading towards the positive side. However, as the days have gone by and the film has opened to audiences those opinions have drastically changed as the film is now being considered one of the worst films in the entire MCU. Until now these were just the opinions of people but the ratings of the film proves that the this is a worldwide notion. As the film’s box office run is running out of fuel, Marvel has announced the streaming date for the film. However, today have an update on what extra things will the digital copy of the film will have.

Thor 4 Love and Thunder Debuts the Best Marvel Trailer Since Sometime Thor with Helmet

If you already haven’t heard, Love and Thunder will start streaming on Disney+ from 8th September 2022 and the physical CDs will be out on 27th September. The Digital and Physical versions of the film will have four deleted scenes that will be released to the public. According to Screenrant, he descriptions of the scenes are:

  • “Looking for Zeus – Thor, Valkyrie and Korg run into a few characters while seeking an audience with Zeus.
  • Wasting Time – Star-Lord and Mantis convince Thor to help their cause.
  • A Safe Vacation – A nonchalant Thor chats with a panicked Star-Lord and Mantis in the middle of chaos. An explosion thrusts Korg into the scene.
  • Fighting For You – Zeus gifts Thor a special tool after overheating a heartfelt conversation.”

The other features includes a ton of stuff as always, including but not limited to a classic gag reel and an audio commentary by writer-director Taika Waititi. The three new featurettes include:

  • Hammer-worthy: Thor and The Mighty Thor – Trace Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman’s journeys to becoming Thor and The Mighty Thor, respectively. Watch as the costars speak about the preparation behind embodying their legendary roles and describe how they combine their unstoppable forces.
  • Shaping a Villain – This featurette introduces Love and Thunder’s primary antagonist, Gorr the God Butcher. Shining a light on the man who brings the character to life, this piece highlights his recruitment and process. Then fellow cast and crew reveal personal anecdotes.
  • Another Classic Taika Adventure – This piece looks back on Taika Waititi’s journey taking over the Thor franchise and reinventing the God of Thunder. Revisit the moment Taika was announced as the new custodian of Thor and follow Taika through the production of Thor: Love and Thunder.”

The film is planned to be released in three formats 4K HDR, DVD and 1080p. The boxes of all these physical copies of the film are extremely fun as as well. Each box is distinctive and mysterious:

The Blu-Ray and DVD physical copy boxes of the film has the same poster that was used to market the film.
