Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Series in Development at HBO!

With 2019 marking the end of biggest TV phenomenon of all time- Game of Thrones. It was natural HBO wont let go of its biggest asset just like that. As expected they’re milking out GOT by planning many spinoffs, prequels, etc. in the GOT universe. One of such prequels will see the light of day in the upcoming months. Yes, you guessed it- House of the Dragon. The prequel will focus on the most powerful house in Westeros and will show storylines that we simply glanced at in GOT. While, the Targaryens will finally get their very deserved series, there is another Targaryen who would return to screens. Reportedly, HBO is working on a Jon Snow series.

Jon Snow Series Will be Sequel to Game of Thrones

Jon Snow’s last appearance came in the final episode of Game of Thrones titled “The Iron Throne”. The episode saw Jon Snow killing Queen Daenerys and being banished from the Seven Kingdoms to the North with the Wildlings i.e., beyond the Wall. While almost all fans of the show, including me pegged the finale to be the worst in TV history it is certainly refreshing to hear that there would be something beyond it as well. However, I don’t think they can undo Khaleesi’s death.

It is important to be noted that this just one of the many series planned in the GOT universe and many of the series are likely to never see the light of day. The Hollywood Reporter only today reported about this sudden development at HBO, while it might result in the reappearance of a fan favorite character it might as well turn out to be an idea that eventually shot down. So, don’t get your hopes too high. Although, there’s no harm in being optimistic. The project is said to be in very early development, hopefully it pans out…
