The highly anticipated HBO version of The Last of Us has finally released its debut trailer. Fans have been impatiently awaiting a sneak peek of this PlayStation Studios television series since production got underway last year. HBO has already released some of the first-ever footage from TLOU, but we’re still waiting for a full trailer for the series.

These new snippets from The Last of Us were featured in a new commercial for shows that will soon be available on HBO Max. Most of the show’s cast members, including Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Nick Offerman, were featured in the broadcasted video. Additionally, we hear Pascal and Ramsey converse while catching a glimpse of a Clicker, one of the zombified foes that exist in this universe. You can watch the newly-released teaser above.
The main controversy still surrounding The Last of Us at this time is when it will air on HBO. The network’s executives have previously only stated that it would debut in the first half of 2023. Unfortunately, HBO’s latest trailer hasn’t done anything to shorten that span and instead has committed to a launch date for the following year. Fortunately, now that we’ve seen some TLOU clips, more trailers are undoubtedly on the way.
TLOU s on HBO shows the increased attention that PlayStation has given the series in recent years. In addition to The Last of Us Part 2, a follow-up to the original game, developer Naughty Dog is also getting ready to release a PS5 version of the first TLOU. Beginning early in the following month, this game – officially titled TLOU Part 1 – will also be available on PC in the future.
