More than any other hero, Spider-Man has a long history of being renowned for his countless bizarre and original Variants. Since Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse launched an animated Miles Morales into heroic action alongside several web-slinging counterparts, it has proven truer than ever. After the animated blockbuster’s enormous popularity, the Multiversal Spider-Man series will shortly return with two sequels already planned (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse), which are anticipated to feature even more distinctive wall-crawlers.
First Look At Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’s Spider-Punk
New SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE merch has revealed the first look at Spider-Punk in the sequel!

The addition of Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Woman, Scarlet Spider, and Spider-Punk in Across the Spider-Verse has already been revealed. Many of these new characters have already had their first glimpses through early products, and Spider-Punk is the latest example of this trend. On the cover of what appears to be a jigsaw, Spider-Punk is first shown alongside Cyborg Spider-Woman, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099, and Miles Morales.
The Union Jack on Spider-Punk’s sleeve suggests that this version may be British. The character’s shift of origin from its American roots appears to be a nod to the early design for Spider-Man UK. Hobart Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk, was first seen on Earth-138 as a homeless adolescent, where Norman Osborn is the president. Osborn’s toxic waste disposal caused a spider to irradiate, giving Brown his powers. He later killed Osborn with a guitar and introduced himself to the world as their saviour.
The Rockstar Spider-Man may not be the most well-known variation of the wall-crawler, but in recent years he has gained more popularity than ever through Insomniac’s Spider-Man video game, which was just launched on PC. Spider-Punk may turn out to be one of the sequel’s main characters or may only make an appearance in cameo form since over 200 characters have been promised for the film. However, his strong presence in the merch may hint at a role in the team’s struggle against The Spot.
Spider-Punk’s voice actor hasn’t yet been revealed, but maybe Sony will do it soon. Since Across the Spider-Verse was supposed to hit theatres in April 2022, there have been a lot of merchandise leaks with these first looks. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set to hit theatres on June 2, 2023.
