Based on the manga of same name, One Piece is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation which first premiered on Fuji TV in October 1999. Since then, it has aired over 1000 episodes split in 20 seasons, making it one of the longest running anime till date. It is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga series of the same name and follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, and his friends in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” to become the next Pirate King. Well, it is all set to debut its live-action adaptation which will be produced and distributed by Netflix. Here’s everything new revealed about the live-action series.
Netflix’ One Piece Live-Action BTS and Cast
Netflix One Piece has released the first look at the sets, the concept art as well as shared some new cast additions for the currently in the works season. At the Netflix Geekend, the studio released a special behind the scenes look at the series and provided the best look at the actual series yet. Check out this 1 min 47 sec tour inside the massive sets of the series guided by Inaki Godoy (Luffy), and the showrunners Steve Maeda and Matt Owens.

Also, more members of the cast for the series were announced at the event. The new cast members of Netflix’s new live-action series are:

They’ll be joining Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Morgan Davies as Koby, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvida, Aidan Scott as play Helmeppo, Jeff Ward as Buggy, McKinley Belcher III as Arlong, Vincent Regan as Garp, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, and Jean Henry as Fullbody.
The release date on Netflix’ One Piece Live Action series hasn’t been announced yet and it seems like it would take at least a year or two more.
