The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent directed by Tom Gormican, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Etten received highly positive reviews from critics and praise for the performance of Cage and Pedro Pascal. The film sadly didn’t do much at the box office, released amidst an unfavorable time and having to endure competition from big studio blockbusters.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent Digital & Home Media Release

Nicholas Cage and Pedro Pascal’s recent action-comedy film, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is now out on Digital HD format from Amazon Video Store and iTunes. The film which is actually scheduled to release on June 7, digitally, is now out few hours early.

The surprise package of the film is Cage playing a fictionalized version of himself. The official plot synopsis is as follows.

“Unfulfilled and facing financial ruin, actor Nick Cage accepts a $1 million offer to attend a wealthy fan’s birthday party. Things take a wildly unexpected turn when a CIA operative recruits Cage for an unusual mission. Taking on the role of a lifetime, he soon finds himself channeling his most iconic and beloved characters to save himself and his loved ones.

As for Physical Home Media release, the film will be available on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack (plus Blu-ray and Digital), Blu-ray Combo Pack (plus DVD and Digital), DVD, and On Demand editions in two weeks from tomorrow on June 21. The bonus features reportedly include the conception and making of the film, while also paying homage to Cage’s career in a featurette chronicling the actor’s journey. For now, Cage fans now can enjoy the film on Digital release.
