I think we’re all aware of the recent shake-up in at Netflix due to The Witcher universe. If not, then Netflix’s hit series that is filled with mediocrity just lost its most valuable asset – Henry Cavill who plays the titular character The Witcher or Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill as we’re all aware is a big fan of games and The Witcher happens to be one of his favorites so him himself playing Geralt was a very good thing however, unfortunately the other factors didn’t seem to work for the show and both the seasons of The Witcher at best had mixed reviews. This is in no way ridiculing the books or games, simply the series. After playing the Geralt for three seasons, it was announced last month by Netflix that Cavill would be replaced by Liam Hemsworth from the fourth season of the show.
This came to be as a big shock for all the fans as they loved Cavill as Geralt. There were many theories circulating the internet since the news which includes, Henry Cavill’s reinstation as Superman at DC. Netflix’s bad treatment of the source material, etc. Netflix faced a lot of heat for this and they were literally blamed by fans across the internet. The crew of the show was also blamed as reports said that they used to insult the source material which was very dear to Cavill in front of him. However, a new source has revealed that there is more to the story and Cavill isn’t as innocent as everyone is making him. He didn’t quit the show but he was fired from it!
The Witcher: Henry Cavill Was The Real Problem?
It seems like while all the internet was blaming Netflix and the crew of the show, Henry Cavill’s exit may not be what is was supposed to look like. There is a real possibility that it wasn’t Henry Cavill who quit the show but it was Netflix who fired Cavill due to him being absolutely impossible to work with. A recent update from a reliable source tells us that Cavill grew more and more aggressive and misogynistic on set and he continued to disrespect the female crew.
