The Flash is roughly made on a budget of $220 million, making it the one of the most expensive DC films ever. To be more specific, The Flash is the 6th most expensive DC film. At this point, the record for the most expensive film DC film is held by Justice League as it had a budget of $300 million. Last year, Black Adam’s approved budget was $190 million, which increased to $260 million after 20 days of reshoots. These reshoots were necessary because of the poor reception of the film at initial test screenings. The Flash on the other hand is the only DC film releasing this year which had glowing reactions from the test audiences.

As the film will release in a month’s time, the DC film is being showcased at multiple venues to generate hype. As it happens to be, horror master Stephen King caught an early screening of the film and has given his honest review.

The Flash: Stephen King Loved The Film!

Probably the biggest horror icon alive today- Stephen King went for an early screening of DC’s The Flash. After the screening, King took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the film. As it happens to be, he has nothing but love for the film, this is despite his very public dismay of superhero movies. Truly The Flash has to be special for someone like King to give such a glorious review. Many celebrities who have previously seen the film have only praised it including Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. An interesting review of the film stated that it is the best superhero film since The Dark Knight.

Andres Muschietti (IT) will helm The Flash, and Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey, Batgirl) will pen the story. Additionally, it will feature the Bruce Wayne/Batman characters played by Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, as well as Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen, Ian Loh as a young Barry Allen, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Rudy Mancuso in unspecified roles.

The Flash is slated for a theatrical release on June 23, 2023.
