Bob Trevino Likes It has wrapped up its production process, unveiling the first photo from the movie. Launching in September, the film is one of the very few indie projects that will release because of the SAG-AFTRA interim agreement. The movie stars Barbie Ferreira (Euphoria) and John Leguizamo (last seen in John Wick). This is the directorial debut for a feature for writer-director, Tracie Laymon.
What is Bob Trevino Likes It About?
The movie is based on Laymon’s own level. The story follows a young woman who starts looking for her father on Facebook and ends up befriending and forming an uncannily deep relationship with a grieving childless man of the same name. Laymon said, as Variety reported,
“This is a story about learning to let go of the people who continually hurt you to make room for the people who want to love and support you…Having personally experienced many of the events that inspired this film, I’ve witnessed how our small acts of kindness toward others create a ripple effect that can change the world for the better.”
Myriad Pictures are financing the film, along with Laymon’s Terms, the director-producer’s own production house. There are other production houses who are also supporting this project.
