Despite Wednesday’s craze, if there is any show that can be called as the flagship Netflix show then it undisputedly has to be Stranger Things. The fan following of the show is unparalleled. With each new instalment of the show, fans fall even more fall in love with it. The most recent installment of the show was its biggest so far, both in length and scale. If I’m being honest then after first season, season four was the biggest leap in storytelling that the show took. Revealing so much more and telling a narrative which has bigger implications than the seasonal conflicts. Despite our heroes’ best efforts season four did end on an underwhelming note where the Upside Down is starting to merge with the real world. This cliffhanger is killing fans and they want the show to come out as soon as possible.
However, as we know that it is not going to happen. We have to wait a good deal before the final season comes out, thanks to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. However, as the Writer’s strike has ended the Stranger Things writers’ room has given us a surprise.
Stranger Things Season 5: First Scene Teases Darkness!
The official writers’ X account (formerly known as Twitter) of Stranger Things posted this image on the social media platform. The image obviously shows season 5’s script. The caption provides us with enough context about the season and episode number. There’s obviously not a lot you can take from this very small snippet of the script, other than it’s dark wherever the scene is taking place. This could be in the Upside Down, or perhaps a flashback to events that transpired before the series began. It’s impossible to tell, but it does help build excitement for the long-awaited return of Stranger Things.
All four seasons of Stranger Things are available to watch on Netflix.
