The stage is now set for a potentially bonkers finale! Ahsoka has been on a roll since Episode 4 which pumped up the stakes and featured some of the best action sequences in Star Wars. Then Episode 5 did a tremendous job following the premise established by Episode 4 and took the show to colossal heights, making it the best Star Wars episode since Andor. And while Episode 6 ended up being a bit dull compared to the preceding episodes, Episode 7 is surely a return to form. So, read on to catch our verdict on Ahsoka Episode 7 but beware that major spoilers follow below!
Ahsoka Episode 7 Reunites The Leads But Sets Them Up To Lose

The long awaited reunion between Ahsoka, Ezra, Sabine, and Huyang came just in time for series finale. Episode 7 begins as Hera is about to be court-martialled by the council, before being saved by a familiar face, the fan-favorite droid C-3PO. This scene marks C-3PO’s Mando-Verse debut and it is quite a delight to see a cameo which actually serves a purpose. C-3PO acting under the orders of Princess Leia Organa saves Hera from an unpleasant fate, much to the relief of Mon Mothma as well. Talking about Mon Mothma, this episode also marks her non-hologram debut in the Mando-verse. Unfortunately, she isn’t as well written as Andor but nevertheless it is fun to see Genevieve O’Reilly on screen again.
Meanwhile, we see Ezra and Sabine catch up while Ahsoka makes her way to the planet Peredia only to encounter a mine field. While Ahsoka engages in a space battle, Ezra and Sabine fight out against Shin and her troops. This particular action sequence is quite enjoyable but Ezra’s fight sequences seem to lack commitment and proper execution. Anyways, after finding Sabine’s location telepathically using the force, Ahsoka finally makes her way towards them, but has to fight off Baylan Skoll to get through. In all honesty, Episode 7’s Ahsoka vs Skoll is one of the most well performed light-saber duels in Star Wars live-action, with terrific choreography and masterful execution.
Their fight is cut short as Huyang creates a distraction to let Ahsoka reach Sabine and Ezra’s location. Finally, we see the three of them unite and battling their way out against Shin, her goons, and 2 entire units of troopers. Meanwhile Thrawn reveals that even though they have reunited, he is playing the bigger game as his destroyer is now nearly ready to make the jump and re-emerge in the main Galaxy. Hence, he calls his troops back which leads to one horrendous moment in the episode – Ahsoka let’s Shin go. I mean, how many times do they actually plan on making Shin fight Sabine? She and Skoll are sure to return for one more duel against the leads, and this time maybe Morgan Elsbeth will join them as well.
Also, how can we forget yet another cameo in the episode which featured Anakin’s hologram teaching Ahsoka one of his final lessons. As for the technical aspects, once again, the CGI, cinematography, action choreography, make-up, production design, and scoring were quite flawless just like the previous episodes. So, it check all boxes in the technical department maintaining its quality as a visual spectacle. Talking about performances, there weren’t many standouts in this episode and Ivanna Sakhno continues to disappoint viewers as Shin.
Final Verdict – Ahsoka Episode 7 turns out to be exactly we expected and packed absolutely no surprises or twists except for the C-3PO cameo. But that is not always a bad thing, as the execution of this episode was quite good for the most part, making it an interesting watch throughout. It has also done a good job setting up the finale of the series where either they’ll be able to stop Thrawn once and for all, or he’ll return to the main Galaxy and serve as the big bad of the Mando-verse.
