Netflix has found another that asset that will yield them views and subscribers for a long time. Heartstopper is a romance, drama and coming of age story that debuted on the streaming giant in 2022. Ever since its release, the show has been privy to amazing reviews from fans and critics alike. Due to the overwhelming response for season 1, Heartstopper returned last year with a season 2 and if anything, it was better than the first season. As we all know, season 2 ended on a cliff-hanger that left fans uneasy. Everyone wants to know when Heartstopper season 3 is dropping, and here is everything we know about it.
Everything We Know About Heartstopper Season 3!
When Netflix renewed the show for season two, the streaming giant also confirmed that the show will also get a third season. The third season had already started production in 2023 and in fact December last year. Oseman posted on Instagram that filming on Heartsopper season 3 was wrapping up.
“We have a few more hours of our final day to get through, but I wanted to express how deeply grateful I am to the cast and crew for their hard work, dedication, skill and endurance over the past 11 weeks, and for once again bringing a season of Heartstopper to life,” they wrote.
“Season 3 takes Heartstopper into uncharted territory and it presented a range of new challenges for our cast and crew, but everyone did the most incredible job and I am so excited to share what we’ve all been working on.” Talking about the release date, Season 2 also filmed from September 2022 to December 2022 and was released in August 2023. With that in mind, we could expect to see Nick and Charlie again as soon as Q2 2024 and surely by August 2024.
The official cast list for season three has been released but we can expect the entire ensemble to be with the only exception Sebastian Croft who played Ben. Going by Oseman’s graphic novels, we could expect much of the main cast to return for season three, with the big names:

- Yasmin Finney as Elle Argent
- Rhea Norwood as Imogen Heaney

Season two ended on a point where Charlie almost confessing to Nick that he loves him. So, what could season three show us? As the show is based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel we can predict the what happens next based on the books. The first season spans the first two volumes of Oseman’s series, whereas the second season follows the school’s trip to Paris, which happens in the third volume of the graphic novel series.
Thus, we can expect the show’s third season to follow Oseman’s fourth volume of the series, in which Charlie and Nick go to college. However, I won’t be surprised if there some changes done. The Netflix show starts Kit Connor, Joe Locke and Yasmin Finney. The rest of the cast consists of Will Gao, Sebastian Croft, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Corinna Brown, Bel Priestly, Ash Self and Thibault De Montalembert.
