The Nun 2 Post Credit Scene Explained With Description

The Nun 2 (review here) is directed by Michael Chaves, his filmography includes The Conjuring 3, weakest but still a decent entry of The Conjuring films. The events of the film take place 4 years after The Nun. Sister Irene is once again called by the Vatican as a string of religious officials are murdered in inhuman fashion. The Pope believes this the act of Valak. What follows is a two hours long walk inside a horror house that amounts to nothing. For the full review click here. After being thoroughly disappointed by The Nun II I hung around for the credits as I was suspecting that there will be a post credit scene. A scene that potentially teases us Valak’s return. Well, it didn’t. Although, there is a post credit scene. Keep reading to find out what it is.

The Nun 2 Post Credit Scene Teases The Warrens’ New Case?

Once the main credits of The Nun 2 are over, we don’t get the remaining credits. Instead, we cut to one more scene where we see our favorite family of The Conjuring universe – The Warrens. A phone call rings and Ed Warren picks up the call. It is from Father Gordon. We don’t hear what the Father says but basically there is another case. Lorraine looks at Ed as he hangs up the call by saying that they will be there. This is where we cut to black.

Now, I don’t know whether this is a tease to The Conjuring 4: The Last Rites or is this a nod to one of the earlier scenes from the The Conjuring timeline. The look of both characters looked particularly young and not as aged as they were in The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It. There are no other hints dropped about Valak’s return even though the demon was back in Amityville (The Conjuring 2) which chronologically takes place 20 years after the events of The Nun II.
