Night Swim Trailer

After their astronomical success in 2023, with films like Five Nights at Freddy’s, M3GAN, Insidious: The Red Door and Totally Killer Blumhouse has really emerged as the winner of horror films this year. Just a few days ago, Jason Blum announced on X (previously known as Twitter) that the studio’s latest venture – Five Nights at Freddy’s has become their highest grossing film ever. The film has also become the highest grossing horror film of 2023, beating The Nun II. During this time of celebration, the studio is preparing for next year. Their very first release of the year will be Night Swim, debuting in theatres just five days after new year’s eve. Blumhouse has began the marketing campaign for the film with its full trailer!

Night Swim Trailer Will Arouse Your Hidden Aquaphobia!

A horror film releasing in January, what a surprise. I think any regular moviegoer is aware that any film releasing in the month of January is most probably a genre adventure. To put it bluntly, any film releasing in January is mostly terrible, especially if its a horror film. January is a dumping ground for studios to put out their worst works, as the summer and fall months are usually when the most anticipated releases of the year are unleashed. However, Blumhouse broke that trend this year with M3GAN.

Hopefully they will replicate their success with this disturbing new experience called Night Swim. An all-new trailer for Night Swim has been released, which you can check out below. The press release reads,“No running. No diving. No lifeguard on duty. No swimming after dark. Atomic Monster and Blumhouse, the producers of M3GAN, high dive into the deep end of horror with the new supernatural thriller, Night Swim.”

The film is directed by Bryce McGuire with a screenplay from McGuire and Rod Blackhurst. It is based on the 2014 short film of the same name by McGuire and Blackhurst. The official synopsis of the film only mentions, a woman swimming in her pool at night terrorized by an evil spirit. Night Swim stars Wyatt Russell, Kerry Condon, Nancy Lenehan, etc. The trailer is pretty is kept pretty simple where a family moves into a new house and instead of it being a haunted house, it looks like we’ll see a haunted pool film.
