Many expected The Boys Season 4 to have a summer premiere date as two of the three previous seasons were released in June/July, but the the writers’ and actors’ strikes made sure that the show would be delayed. In a perfect world, Amazon would be heartbroken. Not so much. It seems like Amazon Prime really dodged a bullet with The Boys Season 4. Not because it is bad, but because it was moving very closely with its spin-off Gen V when it comes to the release window. Having two shows set in the same story world release just a few months apart is not ideal for any platform. As you can see, The Boys Gen V performed extremely well for Amazon. Seeing the excellent viewership of Gen V, Amazon has announced another spin-off in The Boys universe.
