Crunchyroll-and-Funimation-Merger-All-Your-Anime-at-One-Place-Now

Anime fans time to go crazy! Funimation and Crunchyroll who earlier used to be competitors are now one, which effectively means that now all your favorite anime will now be found on Crunchyroll. Funimation serves millions of anime fans in over 52 countries and 10 languages and will now be unifying under the Crunchyroll brand. This also means that Funimation’s subsidiary, Wakanim will also be merged with them. Hence, Crunchyroll’s VRV will now create one stop subscription service for anime fans worldwide.

Wondering What It Means?

Well, in the words of Crunchyroll, “This means all your anime, all on one platform. Starting today, tons of shows and movies from Funimation and Wakanim will begin arriving on Crunchyroll—so you’ll get more dubs, more subs, more everything.”

So, get hyped as now you won’t need two different subscription services to watch the anime you want to watch. Titles that will be featured include the already available ones like My Hero Academia, Tokyo Ghoul and Yu Yu Hakusho. Also, favorites like Cowboy Bebop and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, will now all be under one subscription!

This also means new series in the upcoming Spring season and beyond will only stream on Crunchyroll. So, basically Funimation will only add new episodes of continuing series and for the new series and season, you’ll have to switch to Crunchyroll. Good news is that Funimation, Wakanim, and VRV subscribers will get a special deal for 60 days of Crunchyroll Premium free. So make the most out of it and switch to Crunchyroll asap.

The full list of the shows being added to Crunchyroll can be be viewed here. Also, according to Crunchyroll, there’s much more to come so watch out, the anime world is about to explode.
