Supergirl: The Trailer Is Here And It’s Wild

Supergirl is a 2026 superhero film directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira. The film stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl, alongside Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, David Corenswet, and Jason Momoa. The second film in the DC Universe, Supergirl follows Kara as she embarks on a journey across the galaxy to hunt down an adversary who has harmed her beloved dog, Krypto. The film was released theatrically in the United States on June 26, 2026, by Warner Bros. Pictures. If you missed it in theaters or want to watch the latest DCU adventure at home, here’s everything you need to know about its digital, physical, and streaming release.

Supergirl Digital and VOD Release

Supergirl will be available on Digital HD from Amazon Video and iTunes on July 28, 2026. The film will be available to rent or purchase through major digital platforms, allowing audiences to watch Milly Alcock’s debut as the titular character from home just over a month after its theatrical release.

Blu-ray and Physical Media

Supergirl will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 8, 2026. The physical release is expected to include standard Blu-ray and DVD editions, with further details regarding bonus features and special editions expected to be announced closer to the release date. Special Features:

  1. Bonus Content: Over 90 minutes of behind-the-scenes material included with 4K UHD and Blu-ray editions.
  2. Documentaries: Features The Making of Supergirl, Flying Off the Page, and Space is a Bad Neighborhood, Babe.

Supergirl Streaming Release

An official streaming release date has not yet been announced. As a Warner Bros. Pictures release, the film is expected to eventually stream on Max. Based on Warner Bros.’ typical theatrical-to-streaming window for major releases, Supergirl is expected to arrive on Max sometime between September and November 2026. However, considering it’s terrible performance and early digital and Bluray releases, we can expect it sooner than later.

Whether you’re planning to watch it digitally, add the latest DCU film to your physical media collection, or wait for its eventual Max debut, audiences won’t have to wait much longer to experience the film at home.
