God of War Ragnarok - Kratos vs Garm The Wolf Fight Leaked, Watch Here

The hour of the wolves is nigh as winter is coming to Midgard and with it, comes the Ragnarok. God of War: Ragnarok is now barely a week away folks and the anticipation surrounding the game is at its peak. The past few days have been really exciting for one segment of fans while a total nightmare for the other. There have been a lot of leaks including Thor vs KratosOdin’s first lookKratos vs Odin, Playable Atreus etc., and today we have for you another huge leak for the game. Be warned, though, that a few minor spoilers follow below and you should proceed at your own risk.

Watch God of War: Ragnarok Kratos vs Garm Fight (not Fenrir)

Do you remember the Mattgur Helson boss fight from God of War (2018)? The gatekeeper of Helheim you had to kill to get his heart for Atreus? Well, yeah God of War: Ragnarok is back with another such boss fight and this time it is even bigger and better. So, without further ado, check out the gameplay video below along with a short description.

While many of us excited to see Fenrir in GOW: Ragnarok, it looks like he will most likely be an ally. We saw a glimpse of Fenrir in the Father and Son promo trailer months ago, and last month we saw Skol and Hati (Fenrir’s children) in the story trailer. But that doesn’t mean all wolves are our allies and we will get to fight a giant wolf after all! Well, this wolf is called Garm who is the guardian of Hel’s gate as is called Garmr in Norse Mythology. So, he essentially plays the same role as Mattgur Helson in its predecessor.

In the leaked fight video, we do not have any context to the fight but we know for sure that it will take place in Helheim. The fight has a lot of similarities to the Mattgur one as we see the shockwave attacks, ice projectiles, as well as quick melee attacks. The only difference is how they are delivered to Kratos. Mattgur used to smash his weapon into the ground to create shockwave, while Garm smashes his front legs on it. Unlike Mattgur, Garm shoots ice projectiles from his mouth and his melee attacks come from his paws, chain, and mouth. So, it is essentially the same fight and also shares similarities to the Dragon fights in the game. The biggest difference, however, is that this time Atreus is with Kratos.

Kratos vs Garm The Wolf Full Fight God of War Ragnarok

An additional mechanic added to this fight is that Kratos has to throw his axe at Garm’s chains to freeze it in place and get a few good strikes at the wolf. It seems like a fun fight but again, it looks like Ragnarok is going to feel exactly like God of War as all its boss fights have had equivalent counterparts in the predecessor. Thor boss fight is much like The Stranger vs Kratos, Nidhogg one is like Hraezlyr vs Kratos, and Odin one is like Baldur vs Kratos final fight. Also, I am pretty sure Thor vs Kratos Round 2 is going to be like Magni and Modi fight sequence. Rest remains to be seen!

That’s it from this article! God of War: Ragnarok is all set to debut on PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022!
