Hogwarts Legacy is a game developed by Avalanche Software and published by WB that takes place in the Harry Potter Universe. The Wizarding World is expanding further and owing to that, comes an action role-playing video game called Hogwarts Legacy. After the release of Fantastic Beasts 3, fans do not have much to look forward in the cinematic Potterverse for a few years. So, instead they are looking towards other Potterverse projects and Hogwarts Legacy is something they’ve waited for since a long time and now the game is going to get a DLC and fans can’t be more excited!

Everything We Know About Hogwarts Legacy DLC 2024!

No official comment has been made on the 2024 DLC update for Hogwarts Legacy. However, many recent comments have indicated that an update is imminent. As per IGN from the IGN Fan Fest event in February 2023, game director Alan Tew explained his team’s plans, “We’ve been really heads down bringing [‘Hogwarts Legacy’] to life, so at the moment there are no current plans for DLC.”

In January 2024 the game approached its one-year anniversary it’s X (formerly Twitter) page suggested that PlayStation-exclusive content and other updates from the game are coming soon, “As we near the one-year anniversary of ‘Hogwarts Legacy,’ we wanted to let our community know that the ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game. Stay tuned in the coming months for more details on what’s coming to Hogwarts Legacy this year.”

This post didn’t clarify whether it will be a standard update or a full blown DLC. There are a lot of options for the game’s DLC packs. Let’s visit some of them. A Quidditch-inspired addition was a rumored option for the game, as the signature Harry Potter sporting event currently being suspended to play in Hogwarts Legacy.

This won’t be difficult to add as players are already able to move across the entire Wizarding World via broomstick. There could also be new story additions, giving fans a chance to pass the end of the game after defeating Ranrok, locking away the dark magic, and winning the House Cup.

Game developers could possibly introduce new villains into the equation post-Ranrok that require new skills and spells to defeat, which would likely come in a shorter story than the original game. Although, it appears the simplest option to implement is likely the cosmetic variety, as fans have gained access to new cosmetics, outfits, mounts, or other gear to upgrade the look and feel of the experience.

As of now, only DLC pack available for Hogwarts Legacy is the Dark Arts Pack which is priced at $19.99. This pack is largely a cosmetic one which includes a Thestral mount, a Dark Arts Cosmetics Set, and a Dark Arts Battle Arena.

Hogwarts Legacy is now available to play on PC, PS4, PS5, XBox One, XBox X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
