The Last of Us and Fortnite might soon have a crossover. Massive crossovers are nothing new for Fortnite, which has mainly built its identity by serving as a centre for all these other titles. Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and numerous other superheroes from totally different franchises have all made appearances in the game, creating a sort of virtual toybox.

Epic Games has managed to include weaponry, gear, locations, and even significant events to tie in with these prominent properties, in addition to having iconic characters. It’s also thrilling that Epic Games was able to create characters like Kratos and Master Chief to appear in the same game across several platforms! There’s a chance Fortnite will soon get another PlayStation franchise as well.
A Fortnite and The Last of Us crossover may be in the works, according to well-known gaming insider Nick Baker, who hinted at it on Twitter. Although no other details were provided, it would make sense. There will be a lot of talk about The Last of Us Part 1 because it will probably be one of the biggest releases of September and is still a little over a month away from going on sale.
Moreover, September 26 will mark The Last of Us Day, a day devoted to the video game franchise and the day the outbreak started in the game’s fictional setting. It wouldn’t be unexpected if this Fortnite event coincided with one of these occasions. It makes sense for Naughty Dog to ramp up the celebrations and attract as many eyes to the title as possible since it’s also possible that new footage of the series on HBO will be released on The Last of Us Day.
Joel and Ellie would probably receive skins if this potential crossover happened, and perhaps some clickers would also show up in the game. We don’t know what more to expect, but as of now, it is just a rumor.
