2023 was witness to many films from some of the greatest great directors alive. We had Christopher Nolan’s box office juggernaut Oppenheimer, Martin Scorsese’s horrifying tale Killers of the Flower Moon, David Fincher’s slick flick The Killer and Ridley Scott’s magnum opus Napoleon. There was so much happening in 2023 that it was difficult to keep up. December was the month that had so many films lined up that it was impossible to watch them all. We had Poor Things, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Migration, Anyone but You, The Iron Claw but amongst the herd, there was one film made by a bonafide cinematic genius –  Michael Mann. The Heat director returned to the big screen after 2015’s disappointing Blackhat, with Ferrari starring Adam Driver. The film released in theatres on Christmas, but got lost in the crowded competition. If you happened to miss Ferrari in theatres, don’t worry here’s when you can watch it online.

You Can Watch Ferrari Online Very Soon!

Michael Mann’s Ferrari has not found its audience in theatres. The film made on a budget of $95 million has only earned $20.8 million since its Christmas release. Naturally, it is payback time, as based on the current trends there is no way the film is going to make its budget back. In order to break even, the studio is making the film available on online. When To Stream reveals that Ferrari will be available for purchase on digital and VOD platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple iTunes and Vudu from January 23rd, 2024.

The film has been made available online less than a month after its theatrical release, that’s not good. Earlier this week we had also received an update on the film’s DVD and Blu-ray release, the film will be available for purchase on physical media formats like DVD and Blu-ray from March 12th, 2024. The Michael Mann directorial premiered last year at the Venice Film Festival and received a 6 minute long standing ovation which left Adam Driver tear eyed. I’m astound as to how this film turned out to be a box office failure.

Michael Mann’s latest is a biographical drama based on the life of Enzo Ferrari – the automotive mogul behind the Ferrari car brand. He is often credited as the man who spawned the idea of Formula One racing. Along with Driver as Enzo Ferrari, the film’s supporting cast includes names like Hugh Jackman and Penelope Cruz.

Ferrari is playing in theatres near you.
