Let’s face it. 2024 hasn’t been off to a great start when it comes to cinema, thanks to the silent first two months. However, cinephiles don’t need to worry as March is striving to get 2024 back on track. The month is off to an epic start with Dune: Part Two. For many people, the sequel is their best film of the year. The month will also end with another spectacle of Godzilla and Kong joining forces to defeat a threat to Earth. Well, if you’re not a spectacle film kinda guy then don’t worry. March has something else in store as well – Kung Fu Panda 4, the fourth instalment in the infamous animated franchise. While all of you’re enjoying the film in theatres, thanks to our sources we have exclusive information on the film’s digital debut. Keep reading below, to know more.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Online Release Date Revealed!

Kung Fu Panda 4 debuted with 81% Rotten Tomatoes score which turned out to be the worst of the franchise. As it stands, the score now stands at 69% from 95 reviews (audience score: 86%) and an IMDb rating of 6.7/10. Along with decent critical acclaim, the film has also earned a whopping $55 million domestic opening.

Despite the positive reception in all fronts for the film, it appears that the studio doesn’t want stretch its theatrical run for too long because if a recent listing on dvdreleasedates is to be trusted then Kung Fu Panda 4 will be available for purchase or rent on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple iTunes and Amazon Prime Video from April 9th, 2024.

This means that  the film will have a theatre to online window of 32 days, which is quite mediocre. Although, if the film keeps performing well at the box office then I’m sure this digital release date will be pushed back. I’m surprised because despite releasing a week later than Dune 2 it is releasing on online platforms seven days before the Denis Villeneuve film.

In addition to Jack Black, the movies also star Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, David Cross as Crane, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Awkwafina and Randall Duk Kim as Oogway. The film is set to be directed by Mike Mitchell and Stephanie Stine, with the former having previously helmed high profile animated projects such as The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and Shrek Forever After.

Kung Fu Panda 4 is now playing in theatres near you.
