Avatar 2 The Way of Water Watch Full Leaked Whale Footage From The Film

Even 13 years after its release Avatar still stands tall and I was fortunate enough to catch the re-release for James Cameron’s epic film. Back in 2009, I wasn’t able to experience this masterpiece in cinemas, so when I finally saw what all the fuss was about with my own eye, I just lost it. Even after having watched it countless times at home, it was truly an exceptional and mesmerizing experience on the big screen. Good thing is that now its barely a three weeks wait before we all get to experience something fresh about the universe we adore in Avatar 2: The Way of Water. As it happens, the re-release of Avatar packed a huge surprise for the viewers and that scene is being uploaded all over the internet!

That’s right, the so called leaked footage being circulated these days is actually the post-credit scene from the re-release of Avatar. The version I saw in my country had nearly 4 minutes of footage from Avatar 2. From the reports we’ve received so far, these additional footage varies between 4-10 minutes depending on the region of release, formats and even cinemas. Apparently, there are 2-3 different sets of footages being shown and the following video is one of them. We couldn’t capture the full footage, however, we managed to capture nearly 2 minutes of footage which will provide you a basic idea of what it is about. It is somewhat of a super cut and you can check it out below along with detailed description.

The scene from Avatar 2 opens with a young Na’vi on top of what appears to be a rock. This Na’vi is Jake Sully’s younger son Lo’ak and what appears to be a rock is actually a Tulkan which later moves and Lo’ak says “oh shit” (in English). Before the Tulkan moves, it takes a few breathe splattering water in an upward stream like a whale and this looked brilliant in 3D! Lo’ak goes underground to investigate and sees it’s eye, realising it’s a creature. He then identifies it as a Tulkan and thanks it for saving him.

He realizes that there’s some kind of harpoon in the Tulkans flipper, which is definitely human in design. Lo’ak removes it by unscrewing it, saying “they hurt you, didn’t they?” After he removes the harpoon he speaks to the Tulkan asking if they’re friends now. The Tulkan replies in, well, Tulkan and Loa’k doesn’t understand it. Anyways he then swims underwater alongside the Tulkan and says “I’m sorry” in sign language to it while underwater. The Tulkan then swims around him and then extends it’s flipper out to him, like a hand, Lo’ak touches the flipper.

We then see some mesmerizing and visually astounding shots which will leave you rooting for more. The CGI, the camerawork, the score, the 3D effects, and well as the overall immersion is just beyond words. The scene then ends with the same scene from the teaser trailer as the closing shot. I can’t speak for everyone, but its bound to be jaw-dropping for most of the viewers. Can’t wait for Avatar: The Way of Water now!

Avatar: The Way of Water is all set to debut in theatres on 16 December 2022.
