Fallout video game series has been there since gaming became a thing and years later, it still remains one of the most popular gaming franchises. The franchise’s last game Fallout 76 came back in 2018 and opened to generally favourable reviews but since then the franchise has been on a hiatus. But that is about to change as fans are about to get a Fallout TV series developed by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan for Amazon Prime Video. The show was confirmed back in 2020 and the filming began in 2022 itself and fortunately, wrapped up before the writers and SAG-AFTRA strikes began. As it happens, today we have some amazing news for the fans.

A 40 second trailer for the upcoming Fallout series by Amazon Prime Video has been leaked online. The leak is pretty much legit and has brought life back into the Fallout franchise. Have a look at it yourself in the post attached below:

During their Starfield presentation at Gamescom 2023 last month, Bethesda’s Todd Howard shared a sneak peek of the Fallout TV series. The leak attached above is of the same footage and first surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) The footage basically consists of some bits from the teaser trailer and doesn’t reveal much or anything about the story. Fans were quick to notice and recognize a lot familiar faces from the Fallout series, including the Brotherhood of Steel. The footages showcases the world in its pre-war state until explosions start going off.

Fans appreciated Walton Goggins as a Ghoul, as well as the set and costume design of the trailer. Although, the tone and writing is yet to be seen, a lot of the charm of the fallout games comes from the setting, factions and characters you meet on your journey. So, at least it looks like Amazon nailed these departments. Although you might want know that this footage was never meant to be shown to the audiences worldwide as they anticipated a lot of changes. So, whatever you see in this footage may or may not end up being the final product.

Being helmed by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, there are high hopes from this series as you may remember, their Westworld Season 1 is probably the best season of TV ever made. Guess we’ll find out when it arrives. The cast of Fallout includes Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Mike Doyle, Moisés Arias, Johnny Pemberton, Cherien Dabis, Dale Dickey, and Matty Cardarople in undisclosed roles. The show depicts the aftermath of a nuclear war in an alternate history of a 1950s-esque retro-futuristic world.

Fallout is all set to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in sometime in 2024.
