The End of Oak Street is a 2026 American science fiction survival film written, co-produced, and directed by David Robert Mitchell. The film stars Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor, Maisy Stella and Christian Convery as a family whose suburban neighborhood is mysteriously transported from 1982 into the age of dinosaurs.
The film premiered at the Steven J. Ross Theater on August 9, 2026, before its theatrical release in the United States on August 14 through Warner Bros. Pictures. It received positive reviews from critics and has grossed $116 million worldwide against a production budget of $80–92 million. The End of Oak Street Digital Release Date
The End of Oak Street will be available to buy or rent digitally from platforms including Amazon Video and iTunes on September 15, 2026. The digital release comes just over a month after the film’s theatrical debut, giving audiences the opportunity to watch David Robert Mitchell’s sci-fi survival thriller at home.
Blu-ray and DVD Release Date
The End of Oak Street is scheduled to arrive on physical media on November 3, 2026. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release the film in separate 4K Ultra HD + Digital and Blu-ray + Digital editions, alongside a limited-edition 4K UHD SteelBook for collectors. The physical releases will also include bonus content, including Banding Together: The Making of The End of Oak Street, a behind-the-scenes featurette exploring the making of the film.
When Will The End of Oak Street Stream on Max?
Warner Bros. has not announced an official subscription streaming release date for The End of Oak Street. However, the film is expected to eventually make its way to Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s primary streaming home for its theatrical releases. Based on the studio’s typical theatrical-to-streaming window, The End of Oak Street is projected to arrive on Max around late October or early November 2026, roughly 77 days after its August 14 theatrical release.
For now, September 15, 2026 is the confirmed digital release date, November 3, 2026 is the confirmed Blu-ray and DVD release date, while late October or early November 2026 for Max remains the expected streaming window.
