Venom has developed into a franchise in Sony’s own universe of Spider-Man villains. There have been two films until now. The first one came out in 2018. Venom was grilled by critics but fans seemed to love it, including me. However, it was China’ box office that helped the film become a success as it grossed over $269 million in the Land of the Dragon. That was more than its home collection. With a $856 million run at the worldwide box office over a budget of $116 million. Naturally, it was only inevitable that we get a sequel and we did. Venom: Let there be Carnage released in 2021 and earned $502 million worldwide over a budget of $110 million. The Venom franchise has earned over $1.4 billion till date so making a third film sounds like a good bet and Sony never turns down a good deal.
Venom 3 has been in development since last year and the film has even gone on floor sometime in May 2023. Some leaked set photos have pointed in the direction that the threequel will utilize the traditional Mexican holiday – Day of the Dead as a setting. We have even received that a low resolution video of Tom Hardy on the sets of the film. However, much of the film’s plot has been kept under wraps. Although, not anymore as a new report has hinted at what Venom 3 will be about.
Venom 3 Plot Synopsis Reveals Peter Parker’s Huge Role!
Soon after Tom Hardy began shooting for Venom 3, a new rumor has been running wild on the internet. The theory is about what the film will be about and it is truly crazy. If at all Sony is able to pull this off then we certainly have some movie on our hands. The two Venom films don’t have any definite arc or direction that the franchise is heading towards. This narrative would definitely change that. The update states that Venom 3 will be about how Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brook deals as he is tasked to take on the role of father figure to a young Peter Parker.
There is no mention whether Peter Parker will appear as Spider-Man or simply a normal citizen. Well, if this is indeed true then we will know soon as more plot leaks surface the internet. Let me know what you think of this plot leak in the comments section below.
