Young Washington (2026) is an American epic historical war drama directed, produced, and co-written by Jon Erwin. The film stars William Franklyn-Miller as a young George Washington, with Mary-Louise Parker, Kelsey Grammer, Andy Serkis, and Ben Kingsley in supporting roles. The story focuses on Washington’s early military career during the French and Indian War between 1753 and 1755, exploring the experiences that helped shape the future Founding Father and first president of the United States.
After premiering at the Tribeca Festival on June 13, 2026, Young Washington was released theatrically by Angel Studios on July 3, 2026 and received mixed reviews from critics. Young Washington Digital and VOD Release
Young Washington is officially scheduled to arrive on Digital HD on August 4, 2026. The film will be available to rent or purchase through major digital platforms, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Google TV, and Fandango at Home. The digital release arrives just over a month after the film’s theatrical debut, giving audiences an early opportunity to experience the historical epic from home.
Blu-ray and Physical Media
An official Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K UHD release date has not yet been formally announced. However, based on current distributor expectations, physical media editions of Young Washington are expected to arrive in September 2026. Physical editions are expected to include:

Young Washington Streaming Release
Young Washington is expected to begin subscription streaming through the Angel Studios App. As with other Angel Studios releases, the film will first become available to Guild Members and subscribers on the platform before potentially expanding to additional streaming services later. Based on Angel Studios’ typical release pattern, Young Washington is expected to begin streaming sometime between October and November 2026, approximately 90 to 120 days after its theatrical premiere. An official streaming release date has not yet been announced.
