Blade: Marvel Reboot Super-Villain Revealed

Blade has been put on hault once again because of the WGA writer’s strike. These delays are not good as according to many reports these production issues have rendered lead star Mahershala Ali extremely frustrated with the process. Hopefully, Blade sticks to this filming date and the rest of the production goes well. This new phase is really making Marvel work hard as a lot of things are starting to go against them. Let’s hope, this will be Marvel’s last production issue. Another concern surrounding the reboot is the rewrites. Marvel is also changing the script for the reboot in accordance to Mahershala Ali’s demands. The script changes have apparently changed the main villain of the reboot, although this shouldn’t be news as Mia Goth’s casting should’ve cued us in.

Blade Reboot: Mia Goth To Play Villain!

Once again industry insider Daniel Richtman has given us an update on the Blade reboot. In some recent Patreon posts, Richtman reveals Mahershala Ali’s foe in the upcoming Marvel film. He wrote to Old’s Aaron Pierre that, “My understanding is that Aaron Pierre is no longer part of the cast and his character was removed from the current script. Delroy Lindo is playing Deacon Frost. Mia Goth is playing Lilith (not sure which version of Lilith or maybe a combo of the two).”

Richtman further revealed that in the new script veteran actor Delroy Lindo has joined the film as the classic Marvel villain Deacon Frost, while Mia Goth will play Marvel’s Mother of Demons- Lilith. However, Richtman makes it clear that the main villain of the reboot would be Goth’s Lilith. Also, Saul Williams has been cast in the movie as well as Blade’s mentor from the page, Jamal Afari.

Marvel’s Blade Reboot is slated to release on September 6th 2024.
