Loki is probably the only MCU Disney Plus series which most fans agree being good. Most other MCU shows have struggled to impress fans and critics alike and their past two series namely She-Hulk and Secret Invasion have been outrightly bad. There were a lot of hopes from Secret Invasion but it somehow turned out to be one of the worst things Marvel ever produced. So, a lot rides on Loki Season 2’s success both for Marvel television’s future as well as MCU as a whole. Season 2 of Loki is all set to debut next month and as it happens, we have some incredible information from you!
Loki Season 2 Releasing Early
Loki is one of the rare shows on TV that has not been postponed to next year due to the strikes. In fact, it has is now coming out earlier than the previously slated release date. The season was earlier set to debut on October 6 at 3:00 am ET. Now, Marvel Studios shared via X (formerly Twitter) that Loki Season 2 will now release on Thursday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

While October 5 makes much more sense as all Marvel shows so far have released on Thursday, the time of release is unlike any show before. Generally all Disney Plus Marvel as well as Star Wars shows release at 3:00 am ET but we’ve seen a change in this pattern now. This started with Star Wars: Ahsoka which is also coming out at 9PM ET on Tuesday and now Marvel’s Loki Season 2 will follow the suit. Also, technically this the prime-time, so it makes sense Disney is eyeing for that instead of a late night release.
Season 2 Plot, Characters, and Cast
Loki season 2 would showcase Loki working with Mobius M. Mobius, Hunter B-15, and other members of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to navigate the multiverse in order to find Sylvie, Ravonna Renslayer, and Miss Minutes. It will pick up directly from the events of Loki Season 1 and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and expand the lore surrounding Kang the Conqueror. Following are the confirmed returning cast and character:

- Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius
- Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie
- Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer
- Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15
- Eugene Cordero as Casey / Hunter K-5E
- Rafael Casal as Brad Wolfe
- Tara Strong as Miss Minutes
- Neil Ellice as Hunter D-90
- Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely
- Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros “OB”
- Kate Dickie and Liz Carr in unknown roles
The series will consist of 6 episodes written by Eric Martin, with Kasra Farahani and Jason O’Leary, and at least two of them directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead.
