After Endgame’s failed time heist in New York, the God of Mischief – Loki was revitalized and his journey in this alternate timeline was shown to us in the Disney+ series- Loki, yeah no one made any efforts there. The series introduced us to the TVA and the entire concept that there is an organization which is trying to maintain something called the Sacred Timeline. The series showed us various versions of Loki, one being his love interest called Sylvie. However, the biggest thing that the series did to the MCU was introducing Jonathan Majors as Kang or He who remains. The Loki series after Quantumania has to be the most important content for Marvel’s Multiverse Saga and the studio knows it. Loki season two‘s massive budget has been leaked. Read below to find out.

Marvel Is Investing Big In Loki Season Two!

Forbes revealed the massive budget of Loki Season 2 and it proves how much Marvel is relying on the upcoming sequel season. After the abysmal Phase 4, Marvel’s 2023 isn’t to a great start either. Except for a rare success with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, nothing is working for Marvel. Loki is the only TV series that has worked for Marvel and the studio is looking to repeat the success of season one. The outlet revealed Disney is spending $141.3 million across its six episodes, equating to roughly $23.5 million per episode.

Marvel’s last series – Secret Invasion costed $212 million to make. However, that was because of the  four-month-long reshoot schedule. When Disney Plus was launched, it was reported that WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye would have astronomical budgets up to $25 million per episode. However, given Disney’s recent budget cuts the number has gone down a notch. Here are the estimated budgets of other Disney+ series:

  • Lucasfilm’s Andor: $250 million for 12 episodes ($20.8 million per episode).
  • Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi: $150 million for 6 episodes ($25 million per episode).
  • Lucasfilm’s The Book of Boba Fett: $100 million for 8 episodes ($12.5 million per episode).
  • Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian: $100 million for 8 episodes ($12.5 million per episode).

Loki Season 2 will start streaming on Disney+ from 6th October 2023.  Season 1 is available for streaming on the same.
