Black Panther 2 Shuri, Okoye, and Attuma First Look leaked

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s trailer promises an emotional and handcrafted film. The film looks like somber and cerebral affair along with being an action-heavy adventure with vivid colors. Needless, to say the film already looks way better than any Marvel content that we’ve gotten this year. I have full faith in Coogler to provide us with an emotional, heartbreaking, layered and an old school Marvel film. The film will cover the aftermath of T’Challa’s death. The film will see characters like Shuri, Queen Ramonda, Nakia, Okoye and M’Baku returning from the first film. However, along with returning characters there is another question that haunts the film. Who will be the next Black Panther. While the trailers hinted at Shuri being the new Black Panther we were not sure because there were many rumors and and speculation that there are more than one Black Panthers in the film.

Now if the first Black Panther is Shuri then who will be the other one? The most recent promotional footage featured two Black Panthers helmets- one a bit feminine and the other a male. Raising the question that is there a male Black Panther in the film at all? Thankfully Ryan Coogler’s answers in a recent interview gives us an answer for the same.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever- Only Female Black Panther in the Film?

Speaking with Deadline, Ryan Coogler was asked about his decision of replacing Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther with a female Wakandan Hero. To answer that Coogler without any hesitation commented on his decision and confirmed that making a female Black Panther was always the plan and there is no Male Black Panther in the film meaning anyone still thinking that Killmonger will be resurrected or M’Baku will don the Black Panther suit, should let their theories go.

The director said, “It’s complicated, you know. What I will say is, Chadwick was all about pushing things forward while being aware of what took place behind him. That concept is one of the things that I’ll always hold in terms of lessons from him. And he was also so so so so brilliant at understanding moments and the moment he was in.”

He continued, “So that’s why I was trying to channel him in terms of going through this process, understanding that we had to keep moving forward even though we lost him in a physical sense. He was a giant man, a giant of a man, the screen couldn’t contain him. To watch his movies is to only know a piece of him. We felt so fortunate to know the whole guy, and we tried to honor him on this one.”

Let me know what do you think of the first reactions Do you think Shuri is the new Black Panther? Which one do you prefer? Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated to release on 11th November 2022.
