Disney’s biggest fan event that happens bi-yearly – D23 Expo 2022 has started and one of the biggest studios in the entire world has made some big announcements. The ongoing event is taking place in the Anaheim Convention Centre from 9th September 2022 to 11th September 2022. Today was day 2 and after all the announcements from Disney and Pixar from Day 1, today we had some cool Marvel Studios and Lucasfilms announcements. After Star Wars Celebration 2022 and SDCC 2022, we were all excited to know what Star Wars had in store for us at Disney’s biggest fan event. While the panel didn’t reveal as much for the live audience as Star Wars Celebration did, but it had some pleasant surprises for the masses. Let’s list down all the announcements that happened on the second day of D23 Expo 2022.
Star Wars: Andor Final Trailer Released
Even though he is one of the most underrated characters in the Star Wars, Diego Luna’s portrayal as Cassian Andor in Rogue One was one of the film’s strongest aspects. As a result we are about to see a 2 season / 24 episodes mega series about Andor, which starts airing on Disney Plus from 21st September 2022. On D23 2022 Day 2, the final trailer for the Rogue One prequel has been released and dives into the sketchy and shady dealings that Cassian finds himself caught up in on behalf of the rebellion. It’s barely 10 days to go now before it arrives, so have a look at the trailer above yourself!
The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Released
After the two leaked footages from Star Wars Celebration, Disney Plus and Star War’s Flagship series has finally revealed its season 3 trailer for the masses! The Star Wars Celebration revealed that The Mandalorian Season 3 would premiere on Disney+ sometime in February 2023. Obviously, the hype around this show is massive given that it is one of the best shows on TV right now. In season 3, our hero and Star War’s cash machine (Grogu) will set on an adventure to restore Din’s honor and revisit the ruined Mandalore, while coming across new and old allies and facing off with new enemies. Tales of Jedi Trailer Released
Star War: Tales of Jedi is an upcoming animated anthology, Tales of the Jedi which will debut on Oct. 26 with three episodes. It will tell Ahsoka and Count Dooku’s storylines by touching on various aspects of their lives. In addition, Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn will make a comeback in the show. This too was one of the Star Wars projects which debuted their trailer at the Star War Celebration but the trailer wasn’t available for the masses. We attached its leaked trailer a few months ago, however, today it has debuted the official trailer and you can check it out for yourself.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 and Ahsoka
The Bad Batch season 2 premier date was revealed to be January 4, 2023. It will get a two episode premiere and you check out its official trailer as well as the new leaked footage by clicking on the respective links. As for Ahsoka, no official trailer was release however you can checked the leaked trailer right here. That aside, Lucasfilm revealed a glimpse of fan favorite character Sabine, as played by Natasha Liu Bordozzo.
That’s all what was revealed by Lucasfilm’s Star Wars and Disney’s D23 Expo will now enter the final day i.e. 11th September, where we hope to see a few more updates.
