PrimeVideo seems to have nabbed the dark superhero storytelling formula as after 3 impressive seasons of The Boys, and one good season of Gen V, Invincible has returned to OWN the playfield once again. Invincible Season 1 opened to widespread critical acclaim as well as a highly positive reviews from the viewers and Season 2 has continued the good work so far. Although Episode 2 wasn’t its best, it has made a solid return to form with episode 3 and Episode 4 aka the mid season finale just took things to a whole new level. Therefore, the wait between Episode 4 and 5 is going to be a painfully long one and there’s absolutely nothing we can do but be patient.
Invincible Season 2 – When Will Episode 5 or Part 2 Release?
After that bombastic, brutal, and exhilarating mid-season finale, Invincible has absolutely peaked and everyone is beyond excited about what it holds in store for them in the future episodes. We believe that most of you must be aware of the fact that Invincible Season 2 is going on a short break after Episode 4. For those of you who are not aware, well this is surely a terrible news. So when will Invincible Season 2 Part 2 or Episode 5 to 8 return? Here’s what we know.
So here’s the thing. The team assured that this break as well as the break between season 2 and 3 would be short ones. As of now Invincible Season 2 Part 2 is slated for early 2024 which means it will be here by February 2024. The problem however is that when there’s only 8 episodes and fans have already waited nearly 3 years for them, it is surely not a good move to have another break in between those 8 episodes. But as long as we get a product of the same quality after the series so far, the wait would be well worth it.
Is Omni-Man Dead? Is Allen The Alien Dead?
Invincible Season 2 Part 1 left us with more questions than answers and left the fate of 2 fan-favorite characters oblivious. In Episode 3, we saw Allen being beaten to pulp by the Viltrumites and in Episode 4 Omni-Man suffered a similar fate. Let us start with Omni-Man who nearly won the battle but suddenly got his spine broken by Lucan who attacked from behind out of nowhere. Fortunately, the blow the didn’t kill him but rendered him paralyzed while General Kregg sentenced him to death. So, is this the last of Omni-Man?
Of course not, he is the soul of the series! Well, not the soul of the series but the soul of its popularity and he will play a major role right till the end of the series. So, yes he will be imprisoned and will be sentenced to death but don’t worry, we aren’t gonna lose him anytime soon. As for Allen the Alien, his fate hangs in balance as after barely surving a brutal assault by the 3 Viltrumites, Thadeus turned out to be a mole and lowered his life support. Now you might be surprised to know that in comics the fate of Nolan and Allen are actually intertwined.
In comics, after his beat down, Thadeus actually helps Allen heal and get stronger. Once he’s strong enough, he goes on a quest to find Invincible again however, ends up being captured by the Viltrumites. In the prison, he meets Nolan aka Omni Man and there they befriend each other and escape. However, in the show the timeline is a bit different as Nolan has just now landed in the prison while Allen seems nowhere close to healing, let alone landing in Viltrumite prison months later. On the contrary Thadeus has apparently killed him, so it is not necessary that Prime goes the comic book route. But if they do, then viewers have nothing to worry about as Allen and Omni Man both have major roles to play in the comics right till the end.
