The Boys Gen V Spin-off New Poster, Release Date, Trailer and More

The Boys are back on the block, or well — their younger versions are. Gen V has released a new poster for the spin-off show which is supposed to be just like the Boys, retaining all its explosive humor and shenanigans but fitting into the college module. Amazon Prime has the series described as, “From the world of The Boys comes Gen V. Young, aspiring heroes have their physical and moral boundaries put to the test while competing for Godolkin University’s highly coveted top ranking. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become.”

What Will The Boys: Gen V Be Like?

The New Poster for Gen-V

Creator Seth Rogen has assured that the show will by no means underwhelm the expectations of wildness set by the Boys. Instead, things will get even crazier. The show intends to use the fact that they are young and in college, and bring about some of the most insane parts alive on screen. “Gen V has some really crazy shit in it. The fact that they’re in college, they’re a little younger, makes it more shocking maybe,” Rogen said on an interview. “In general, if you’re making an R-rated thing, they let you do whatever the fuck you want, unless there’s some real legal thing that they think you might be bumping against, with The Boys, maybe it requires one extra five-minutes phone call, where they’re like, ‘Really?’, and you’re like, ‘Really.’ There are other things you’re on hours of phone calls about that are so much less interesting than that.”

There will be some familiar faces in the cast, such Jessie T Usher, P.J. Byrne, and Colby Minifie. Other important members of the cast include Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Chance Perdomo, Shelly Conn, Clancy Brown and Maddie Philips.

Amazon execs are also extremely excited for this new series, with Vernon Sanders, Head of Television telling Collider, “It’s a great combination of social commentary, blood, there’s lots of blood, a really cool mystery. And I think people will be   surprised as they come into the show, and the show evolves, the implications thatGen V has on The Boys. The two shows have some really interesting connections. So I’m probably saying more than I should, but I’m really excited. We’re thrilled with the  results.”

Gen V drops on Amazon Prime on September 29.
