Many are expecting The Boys Season 4 to have a summer premiere date as two of the three previous seasons were released in June/July, but the Writers’ and Actors’ strike definitely delayed the progress on pivotal phase in the edit and will certainly make it hard to release around that time. However, Prime has confirmed that the fourth season will release in 2024 only. This is supposed to be the last season of the show, although no official confirmation has been made by Prime or anyone from the creative team. For the first three seasons, Homelander has been the central negative force in the entire series but fans believe that this could be his last season as he will finally be killed. Can the show continue without Homelander? Without the villain? Well, it appears there is already another villain present in season 4.

The Boys Season 4 Will Have A New Villain!

The Boys creator Eric Kripke and showrunner Michele Fazekas shared new information about the villains for the show’s Season 4 story to Men’s Health. They told that Victoria Neuman will be a big concern for The Boys. Fazekas in a separate interview with IGN explained Neuman’s relationship with Marie Moreau, whose similar powers both put the entire The Boys world in danger moving forward. He said, “I think anyone who she feels like is going to be useful to her, she’s absolutely going to want to, not necessarily befriend, but at least sort of owe a favor to, or they owe a favor to her. She calculates everything.”

The showrunner also mentioned to Variety the importance of watching Gen V, “I do, because I actually think all you need to know about Victoria Neuman is, she’s running for vice president and she is a secret superhero — which you find out in this episode. So you actually don’t need to see a single thing about it from ‘The Boys,’ because it’s all in this show. You get something extra out of it by having seen ‘The Boys.’ But there’s nothing that you’re not going to understand without it.”

He further added, “The thing that you don’t want to do as a spinoff is confuse people, or make them feel like they had to do homework and go watch three seasons of a different show. So as long as everything’s spelled out in a way that’s not three pages of exposition in a script, but really holds a nice balance of what you need to know so you can enjoy it even if all you know is, ‘Oh, there’s another superhero out there who has a similar power to Marie, and also she’s going to be vice president and she’s interested in Marie.'”

The Boys cast will also be growing, in addition to returning members like Quaid, Fukuhara, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, and Antony Starr. New supes Sister Sage and Firecracker will be played by Susan Heyward and Valorie Curry respectively, alongside other newcomers Rob Benedict, Elliot Knight, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Rosemarie DeWitt (who will be playing Hughie’s mother opposite returning star Simon Pegg). It has also previously been hinted at that Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, who debuted in season 3, might be returning as well.

All three season of The Boys is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The Boys Season 4 doesn’t have a release date yet.
